How to Install Nessus On Backtrask

1. Please visit http://www.nessus.org/ to download Nessus-4.4.1-ubuntu910_i386.deb

or click this link http://www.nessus.org/products/nessus/select-your-operating-system

2. after you download there file.. you can get activation code

at : http://www.nessus.org/products/nessus/nessus-plugins/register-a-homefeed

3. your activation code will sent to your email

4. root@bt:~# dpkg -i Nessus-4.4.1-ubuntu910_i386.deb

5.Run /opt/nessus/sbin/nessus-adduser

Authentication (pass/cert) : [pass] pass
Login password :
Login password (again) :
Do you want this user to be a Nessus ‘admin’ user ? (can upload plugins, etc…) (y/n) [n]: y
User rules

nessusd has a rules system which allows you to restrict the hosts
that admin has the right to test. For instance, you may want
him to be able to scan his own host only.
Please see the nessus-adduser manual for the rules syntax
Enter the rules for this user, and enter a BLANK LINE once you are done :
(the user can have an empty rules set)

This user will have ‘admin’ privileges within the Nessus server

6. root@bt:~# /opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --register xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx --> your activation code

7. start Nessus server by typing :

/etc/init.d/nessusd start

8. Open your browser and connect to https://localhost:8834
